This day was celebrated by a Holy Mass at St Mary Catholic Church of Urmia on May 10, 2009.His Excellency Mar Thomas Meram blessed and dedicated this day to all mothers with the praise of St Mary, he also invited all the mothers for a tea party at the hall of Catholic Church of Urmia.

At the end, a beautifully decorated greeting card with St Mary's icon was distributed as a small gift to all mothers attending this party.
