In commemoration of St Aprim and St Zaia ( Marreze) Zomalan.

In history of Christianity, believers in Jesus Christ suffered hardship and persecution, even became martyrs.  Martyrs and saints have a rightful place in our church as they sacrificed their lives in the name of Jesus, and to spread the faith and good news of salvation from generation to generation.

There are churches in Urmia villages named after these martyrs and saints; each has its own celebration day, organized and celebrated by the locals and followers of Christ.

The ceremony of St Aprim and St Zaia (Marreze) were both celebrated on Friday the 12th Jun 2009 (Hejri: 22/3/88) in the village of Zomalan organized by the locals.

Fr Thomas performed the communion ceremony in the church of St Ephirm, and than the followers went to the church of St Mary to have lunch prepared by the locals.
